work on the pavers extends out into the Quincy intersection (between Ambassador and Surplus Outlet)

the cylinder will become the lamp post base, and the plastic box will be buried in the sidewalk near it

there hasn't been parking out front of this building (nor the old McDonald's right next door) since McD's first went in back in the early 1980's - so we are real excited to see this line swerve in to accommodate some on-street parking right in front of Leland's (which is closing end of June... we need a renter so please pass that onto others)

grading the road up into Pewabic intersection

the "curb-maker" automatically feeds the rebar into the curb as it's being made... nifty machine

we finally got some much needed rain, probably not at the best time for these guys tho... (notice they are covering the freshly formed curb with plastic)

 

removing the boardwalk

filling and panking in more dirt

sidewalk up to the corner of our building... exciting!

 

out in front of Leland's Salon

he's holding some type of edging, maybe protective stuff??? (in front of the door to Life Outreach, 2nd floor)

we were amazed to see how quickly this guy smoothed out the cement

this was even more impressive

(if you look at the top right corner, you'll see that the pavers appear to be done up to the crosswalk... just waiting for more blacktop now before they can continue)
