photos below were taking during the week as things happened out front of our shop (ending May 8th)... snapping away when we could in between customer jobs

(yes, we've had clients coming in despite the construction!! - including many new faces discovering us thanks to their curiosity to come downtown and see the mess out front = lots of folks learning about us for the very first time!)

Note: the City has been kind enough to put a bench out front under our overhang/entryway - so you can sit a spell and watch the construction - plus we like visitors

our local foremen

gently nudging sidewalk away from our windows and water main (orange circle)

first step is a doosey! entryway into Leland's

and we parked a dump truck over this!

just noticed that they've already put down tons of boardwalk

cementing up the door to our boiler room

wire in plastic conduit gave them a little trouble

already putting in new water and sewer pipes

they had difficulty with our last section of sidewalk...

I finally realized why - our building originally had a granite pillar on the corner, with the door at the corner too, so the old sidewalk goes under that display window by many feet (old photo in our lobby shows what that looked like when it was first built)

panking the backfill shook our entire building

the boardwalk is really stable and sturdy

Tom tries it out

appears we have a borrow pit in front of us

our section of Shelden end of the day, Friday May 8th

it was quiet in front of our shop for a number of days - all the action was down the street...

so there's a bit of a gap in our photos too...
